چکیده
Le Réseau Numérique à Intégration de Services Large Bande (RNIS-LB), basé sur la Technique Temporelle Asynchrone (ATM: Asynchronous Transfer Mode en anglais), attire de plus en plus importantes du fait du support des applications très variés qu'il fournit. Les Réseaux Locaux (LAN: Local Area Network) et les Réseaux Métropolitains (MAN: Metropolitan Area Network), connectés au RNIS-LB, seront aussi basés sur ATM afin de supporter les services intégrés et faciliter l'interconnexion de réseaux. Dans le présent papier, nous proposons un nouveau protocole, que nous avons nomé "Reserved/Random Multiple-Access" (RRMA), qui permet d'assurer le contrôle d'accès (MAC: Medium Access Control) aux LAN et MAN basés sur ATM. Ses multiples moyens d'accès au support physique peuvent accomplir des services avec différents Qualités de Services (QoSs: Quality of Service) ainsi que les trafics avec diverses caractèristiques de flux dans différents topologies (dual-bus, folded-bus, dual-ring). Nous proposons aussi un protocole pour le Contrôle de Flux Générique (GFC: Generic Flow Control) et une solution pour la transmission de trafic en rafle dans ATM LAN et MAN. Abstract B-ISDN based on ATM has been received more and more attention for accommodating a wide variety of applications. LAN and MAN connected to B-ISDN will be also based on ATM to support the integrated services and facilitate the interconnection of network. In this paper, we discuss a MAC protocol for ATM LAN/MAN, named "Reserved/Random Multiple-Access" (RRMA). Its different medium access modes can meet services with different QoS requirements and traffic flow characteristics on topologies of dual-bus, folded-bus and dual-ring. Additionally, we propose a GFC protocol and a solution for the bursty traffic transmission in ATM LAN/MAN.
